Spanish vibes e-book
There's something uniquely captivating about Spanish architecture. It tells a story of diverse influences, from the intricate geometry of Moorish design to the grandeur of Baroque and the vibrant whimsy of Modernisme. And while the vibrant colors of Spain are often what come to mind, experiencing its architectural wonders through the lens of black and white photography reveals a different kind of beauty – one of pure form, texture, and light. In black and white, the essence is distilled, revealing the raw emotion, intricate details, and timeless beauty.
On the east coast of Spain, where I lived for a few years, you'll find many of these ancient buildings, streets, and special nooks. In Alicante, the Santa Cruz neighborhood is particularly great for beautiful photos.
But even in the smaller towns nearby, there's plenty of inspiration to be found if you look closely. Think of the beautiful church in Novelda, the streets on the island of Tabarca, or the old town of Altea. Further north, I also managed to take some great photos in the rocky village of Cuenca. If you head south, there's a lot to see in Seville!
As you can see, I love to not only photograph an entire building but also to focus on the details. These details can be astonishingly photogenic when you highlight and emphasize them. Together, the details are what make the whole so beautiful!
I have collected the best black-and-white photos of these places, and many more, in an e-book. In this blog, I'm giving you a sneak peek. The e-book will be available for purchase on this website soon. So, keep an eye on my website and subscribe to the newsletter to be the first to know when my e-book is available!
