Webshop and trips

What lovely and busy weeks I've had! Last week, I enjoyed Eros Ramazzotti's 'Symphonica in Rosso’ at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. What a cool concert, different but definitely very beautiful. Eros sang many older songs, and the tracks were, I think, perfectly chosen for this theme. We had a few days to spend in the Netherlands, so we could also meet up with friends and had a lovely lunch.

I also spent an afternoon out with my mother. Went to a shopping mall, shopped for bits and pieces, and of course, enjoyed a lunch. A nicely decorated spot, which makes me very happy, and the luxury toasted sandwiches (tostis) were very tasty too.

Webstore
The webstore on my website recently opened. Not only for the Christmas cards that I previously told you about in my newsletter, but the webstore has now been supplemented with beautiful 'transport' posters, such as a Vespa in Rome, Trabants in Berlin, a cable car in San Francisco. There are now already 6 posters online in this theme and it will be supplemented with 4 more posters. I also thought of Halloween/Day of the Dead. This is a β€˜limited edition’ poster. The posters are in size 30x40cm. Now I am working on another nice Christmas Edition; these will come in size 20x30 cm. You can order the posters via the webstore and you will receive the file digitally. You can print the poster at home, at a local print shop, or you have many online providers. I will soon list a few providers on the site as well. Keep an eye on the webstore; it will be regularly filled.

New home
As you might know, we are looking for a nice house to buy in Germany. Searching for and viewing houses is already an exciting process. As an interior designer, I naturally think a step further, and that is the furnishing. For now, we have decided on sleek, modern, and lots of beautiful colour combinations. I am also still thinking about a different style. First, I am working everything out for the modern style where colour is central in all rooms. My husband and I both work from home, so a beautiful home office is a requirement. For my husband, I have considered deep forest greens, earthy olives, and soft greys. For myself, earthy tones and blush.

I first created a mood board for colour and materials. Based on this mood board, I made a render:

And I even asked Midjourney for an AI version of my render. It's nice to see this process (change). What is your style for a home office?

Newsletter 9/10:

Freelancing with style

Autumn has arrived, and it certainly made its mark on meβ€”I was knocked out by the flu. Luckily, I've been feeling better for a few days now. I hadn't realized what the flu felt like since the pandemic! My sweet four-legged friend took care of me and never left my side. His lovely cuddles quickly helped me get back on my feet.

Yesterday was a day for big news: I am officially registered as a freelancer in Germany! It took a while, but now I can happily resume my work. Did you know that I can perform a large part of my work online and remotely? This includes creating a very comprehensive interior design plan. The term 'interior designer' is sometimes 'interchanged' with 'interior stylist.' But as an interior designer, I become involved in the project much earlier. The styling of furniture and accessories is done after an interior design plan, by an interior stylist.

I can also help remotely with a mood board. The only thing I need to create a beautiful interior design plan or mood board is the answers to my questions. Based on all your answers, I can create an interior design plan or mood board that meets your wishes. I also create floor plans, just a little different and more stylish than the floor plans usually used. Furthermore, I work as a real estate photographer. If you think you could use some help, take a look at my website and send me a message.

What is your interior style? I love modern and sleek. In terms of color, I like to think outside the box. Colors that combine beautifully and enhance each other. I have put together various interior styles on Pinterest, something for everyone. This includes an eclectic style, which is perhaps not for everyone. At least, that's what I always thought. But this specific pin is one of the big favorites of Pinterest lovers. It's so nice to see how much this pin is appreciated.

In previous newsletters, I mentioned that I'm working behind the scenes on fun Christmas cards. Small cards, size 105 x 148 mm. You can send these as a card, but you can also use them for table settings. Or perhaps as a tag for larger gifts. You can purchase the cards as a set of 5 cards, or per card. If you buy a set of 5, you'll receive a bonus card as well, and it turned out really cool! The cards will soon be available via the webshop. The cards are not sent by post. You can download the cards and print them yourself or at a print shop. This way, I keep the costs low.

Interior designer vibes

Can you feel autumn in the air too? I'm having to get used to the temperature and wearing a coat again. On the other hand, you can make it cozy inside. 'Heisse Schokolade mit Sahne,' as the Germans say. I started this print last week and added the final details to the drawing yesterday. Doesn't this create a wonderful atmosphere?

Someone recently asked me if I'm active on Instagram. I do have an account, but I don't really use it much anymore. Instagram isn't the right platform for me to showcase my work as an interior designer/photographer. My platform is Pinterest. That's where I love to show my work and, to be honest, it's where my work gets appreciated. And that's important too, of course! And it's all there at a glance.

In recent weeks, I've been busy behind the scenes with various fun projects that will keep me occupied in the coming period. Of course, the beautiful Christmas postcards, but also other lovely designs. From travel to costume drama, and yet all of this fits within an interior.

What does an interior designer do?

An interior designer is a professional who plans and designs spaces with both functionality and aesthetics in mind. They listen to your wishes and lifestyle to create an environment that is not only beautiful but also perfectly suits you.

This includes:

Layout: Creating floor plans to use the space as efficiently as possible. This is crucial for flow and the overall feel of the room.

Style: Defining a cohesive concept, from modern to classic, and implementing it consistently.

Color and material advice: Selecting paint, wallpaper, flooring, fabrics, and other materials that complement each other and create the right atmosphere.

Lighting: Designing a lighting plan, because good lighting can completely transform the mood of a space.

Furniture and decoration: Selecting the right furniture and accessories that complete the whole design.

Project management: Coordinating the execution with contractors, painters, and other professionals.

In a future newsletter, I will give you more insight into my work and what I might be able to do for you, your family, or your friends in the field of interior design.

As autumn arrives, my thoughts are already turning to the Christmas season. And I have something really special for you.

Who is Bianca from Studio Property & Object:

1.I should not be woken up from my sleep. Sleep is sacred to me.

2.My husband and I have been together for 20 years, and he has never seen me with the same hairstyle in all that time. I change my haircut regularly, from long to short or back to long, and even asymmetrical styles have made an appearance.

3.I'm always up for a good schnitzel, no matter the time of day.

4.When I get a fit of laughter, people often laugh along with me, and I can hardly stop.

5. I love to watch a good series; costume dramas are among my favorites.

6.Italian food is my absolute favorite.

7.I used to collect erasers. Most of them came from Austria. You wouldn't believe the variety of erasers that existed.

8.I also work as a dog photographer. You should take a look at how all those four-legged friends shine in their photos, creating a priceless memory for their owners.

9.I don't have a green thumb; even a cactus dies on me. Seriously. Although, things have been getting better in recent years. Plants are essential in a home. And a beautiful plant is a must-have in any garden, too.

10.I enjoy teasing my husband every now and then. Just every now and then. :)
